This year, I had 12 performances! I put together a video clip to highlight moments from my tour. 2017 has been a year of growth and transformation. I recently performed at a college, and a student came up to me after my show. She told me that her brother was experiencing anxiety symptoms that I spoke about in my show, but she didn’t believe the severity of the symptoms until she saw my performance. The work that I am pushing forward in the world is imperative. I feel compelled to continue raising awareness for mental health through the performing arts. In order for me to fulfill my mission, it will require me to think of outside of what I’ve learned a successful career in the performing arts to be. I have demonstrated my ability to turn an obstacle into an opportunity to serve an audience that has been neglected in society. My dreams have shifted in an unlikely direction, but thankfully, I’ve accepted the shift. Rejection is really protection, failure is a test for you to build consistence, “no” means “not right now” and experience is you in your lane.
