Digital Performance Lab

The next phase of my solo performance journey will be committed to creating an authentic online space for my work. This will allow me to overcome barriers and systemic inequities. I have received many amazing opportunities over the years, but the lack of consistency, support, and care within my industry has been challenging. Creating a space for my stories to live is the way forward. I’m proud to launch Roux Digital Lab, a multimedia digital experience on my website. Multimedia digital theatre is a performance in which different creative forms, such as narrative, spoken word/poetry, song, dance, physical theatre, audio, technology, film or video, are blended to tell a story. This digital lab named after an ingredient in gumbo—I’m honoring my cultural legacy by continuing to stir a pot of my own roux.
